SINAIGRANDCASINOoffers Las Vegas style casino in an independent casino supporting the Sonesta Beach Resort located on the Naama Bay. It opened in January 2003 and there 200 slots and 24 tables including five blackjack, four Texas Hold ‘em, four Poker tables, two Punto Banco, six American Roulette, two English Roulette and one electronic roulette. The casino is operated by IGGR via GETEG.
TABA This is in the Sinai Peninsula on the Gulf of Aqaba just 7km south of the Israeli resort of Eilat. It is a small Egyptian town but also the busiest border crossing with neighbouring Israel and is a frequent stop over for tourists on route to either country.
TABAHILTONRESORTANDCASINO is situated between four countries – Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel and Egypt and set on the beautiful Gulf of Aquaba in the Red Sea. There are 410 rooms in the hotel overlooking the beach. The casino houses 76 slots and 19 table games.
Meanwhile the Shehrayar and Shehrazad are identical sister ships which were built in 1986 and among the first of the new generation of deluxe Nile cruisers.
Both ships have since been totally rebuilt and upgraded and take visitors along the Nile waters for three, four or seven night cruises which are offered between Luxor and Aswan. The both offer nine standard cabins, 29 deluxe cabins and two suites, restaurants, swimming pool and of course casino gaming.
OTHERGAMING The lottery was founded in Egypt by members of the Greek community in the early 1940s. By the early 1960s three offices were supervising the issuing of tickets primarily the Solidarity Office (which was part of the Red Crescent NGO), Al-Orwa Al-Wothqa (an Islamic NGO) and the Egyptian Lottery Union (owned by Keriako Mikalous). At the time the offices covered 7,000 distributors and 111 NGO beneficiaries nationwide.
