Working with Fountain People, Visual Terrain specified 120 of Fountain People’s own trunion mounted LED RGB luminaries and 37 recessed luminaries to bring the feature to life. The Fire Water Fountain employs surface mounted 70W Targetti metal halide floodlights, together with Color Kinetics iColor products and Fountain People mounted uplights to create the drama its name suggests. ETC lighting control in the form of its Smartswitch DMX controlled relays, Unison dimmers and Mosaic controllers is combined with Roland AR-300r audio playback and a Crestron interface to help deliver the visual and auditory elements in sync. Commenting on the task, Dawn said: “We came to the project a little late and had to deal with some infrastructure that was already in place. We had a lot of moving elements and a lot of animated light, so there was a lot of construction coordination. We were fortunate to have a great contractor, and when you have a great contractor that can help you, that is very critical in getting a complex task executed.” NED was charged with all interior lighting, audio and video design, including the installation supervision and commissioning of those components. For lighting, NED and WorthGroup designed close to 200 custom chandeliers and lighting features for the building. The most striking are three video chandeliers comprising 4ft x 4ft boxes containing LED panels. These chandeliers display video images through
their crystal-encrusted exterior to set the mood and ambiance for the elevator lobby. NED’s aim was to give the owner great versatility with the lighting, audio and video systems. The Choctaw AV system allows employees the flexibility to select what video and / or audio feeds are appropriate at any time for their clientele. The digital signage system, consisting of 42 different channels of streaming content offers the ability to change feeds to any of the facility’s 190 displays. Guests can request their choice of program on any of the 24 video monitors located in the gambling table areas. Programming choices can also be made in the spa depending on the client’s mood. The most flexibility is offered in the Diamondback Cabaret Lounge. A live feed of the performance can be sent not only to the large side screen in the lounge, but also to the numerous monitors throughout the casino and ancillary spaces. Some of the kit that helped achieve this include, Crown amplification, BSS Sound- web distribution, Dynacord control and speakers from EAW, Tannoy and Renkus- Heinz. Crestron also featured heavily throughout the installation, together with Christie projection.
