ELATION | PLATINUM SPOT 5R

Platinum lamps combine Philips MSD technology with a very compact / short arc, compact design, innovative reflector system and high efficiency. This exciting new 160W / 7,950 lumen discharge lamp source makes it possible to create fixtures that are brighter and more powerful with superior light quality. Elation’s Platinum Spot 5R blasts an output comparable to a 575W fixture, yet it’s half the size, uses less than half the energy, and amazingly weighs half as much as a typical 250W fixture. To look at the Platinum Spot 5R in comparison to a 250W fixture, it not only weighs 50% less, but produces twice the output, while using 25% less energy and measuring two thirds of the size of a 250W. The Platinum Spot 5R also moves faster than traditional moving heads on pan and tilt, as well as on colour / gobo changes. The Platinum lamp’s integrated reflector system provides perfect lamp alignment and a new optical system each time the lamp is replaced. Additionally, its 2,000-hour rated lamp life is twice as long as that of a conventional 575W fixture, and when the time does come to replace the lamp, users will find that it’s much more affordable compared to other MSD replacement lamps. Along with its cutting-edge Philips lamp technology, the DMX-compatible Platinum Spot 5R offers a full complement of professional design features, including eight vibrant dichroic colours; 22 gobos (eight rotating, 14 static); 3-Facet rotating prism effect; variable frost; motorised iris; motorized focus; variable speed shut- ter / strobe; and 0-100% mechanical dimmer. Operating on 16 DMX channels, the Platinum Spot 5R has a 540° (630° optional) pan and 265° tilt and a beam angle of 17°.
ETC | SOURCE FOUR REVOLUTION
www.etcconnect.com
The ETC Source Four Revolution is a moving light with a difference. A true revolution, it combines a high performance Source Four zoom profile spot with motorised pan, tilt, zoom, on-board dimming, and colour scroller – plus an exclusive QuietDrive motor control for amazing low-noise performance, making it perfect for when the lighting absolutely has to be quiet. Revolution’s two module bays accept any two of the four optional beam-control modules without tools or disassembly, and all of them are auto-sensing – that is, they require no patching or internal configuration changes to the luminaire. In addition to the standard gobo module, indexing gobo module, shutter module and iris modules are also available. The highly efficient optical system with dichroic reflector, using the unique Source Four tungsten HPL lamp, means that more light comes out of the front while heat to exits at the back; and because the light source is dimmable using Revolution’s on-board electronic dimming engine, power is saved by being on only when needed, as opposed to many moving heads’ discharge lamps, which are always fully on. Every ETC Source Four Revolution comes complete with a 24 frame capacity colour scroller, based on Wybron’s industry-standard Coloram technology, providing quick and ac- curate colour changes. Wybron’s technology combines with other exclusive Revolution features to offer unique ‘made for theatre’ automated lighting.
