ALIWAL SHOAL
Situated half an hour’s drive south of Durban, Aliwal
Shoal is a 30km fossilised sand dune, with a dense
covering of sponges and corals adding colour to the
bank. Cold and warm water reef fish converge in
these nutrient rich waters, which also regularly
