Set in a peaceful location, Borneo Mabul Resort offers comfortable
accommodation in attractive chalets. Occupying a lovely stretch of white
sandy beach, this resort blends beautifully into its natural surroundings.
Mabul island is a short boat ride from Sipadan. Mabul resort is one of only a
few on the island, sitting alongside the small local community. Divers staying
on Mabul can enjoy a combination of boat diving off Sipadan, Mabul and
Kapali as well as having access to the house reef on Mabul.

DIVE CENTRE
Borneo Divers pioneered diving on Sipadan over 20 years ago. The centre
is an extremely well run PADI 5* Gold Palm Resort. In 2008, Borneo Divers
built an extensive jetty with a filling station at the end and now offer unlimited
house reef diving as well as the usual 2-3 boat dives per day. Equal
opportunity to dive Sipadan and Kapalai is given to divers over the duration
of their stay. Nitrox is available locally at a supplement.

RIVER CRUISE & SEPILOK EXTENSION

Day 1: Transfer to Sandakan. Explore the Gomantong Caves, the largest cave nesting colony in Sabah. Take a
boat cruise along the Sukau River, which provides the perfect platform to view proboscis monkeys, birds
and other wildlife of the area. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2: A boat trip to the ox-bow lakes where birds abound in all shapes and forms. The lakes are home to freshwater
fish, otters and occasionally wild elephants are sighted. Trek in the riverine rainforest follow nature trails.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 3: Visit the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Centre. The centre was established to facilitate the
reintroduction of orang-utans, that have been kept as pets, back into their natural habitat. Witness the
feeding of orphaned orang utans. The visit also includes a nature trail walk. After the tour you fly back to
Kota Kinabalu. Breakfast included.

MOUNT KINABALU EXTENSION

Day 1: The entrance to Mount Kinabalu National Park is just 1

drive from Kota Kinabalu. Departing early you arrive at the park by
09.00. The trek up to your overnight accommodation at Laban
Rata takes roughly six hours. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2: An early rise at 03.00 for a dawn ascent of the summit. Walking
by torchlight you arrive at the summit, 4,101m above sea level, at
dawn. After breakfast, the remainder of the day involves a relaxed
descent to the park entrance where you will be met for your return
to Kota Kinabalu. Breakfast and lunch included.
