1455NHD is sized to accept the pop- ular 100 x 160mm single Eurocard, which mounts horizontally into one of seven slots in the body of the enclo- sure. The removable flat metal end panels secure the PCB into the enclo- sure and can be easily machined with the required apertures for indicators, switches and connectors. The two piece body has a removable plate in the base, which gives good access to the interior, and both the top and base have large flat areas that give plenty of room for component mount- ing. Also extruded as part of the body are six internal and two external T Slots running the length of the enclo- sure. The external slots accept two removable mounting flanges for easy wall, shelf or bulkhead mounting; the internal ones can be used for mounting components using fixings that slide into the slot. The enclosure is available with a clear or black

Cincinnati, OH — Standex-Meder Electronics has released its high power KSK-1A82 miniature reed switch. At a maximum glass length of 16.5mm and an overall lead length of 44.1mm, the KSK-1A82 provides an operating sensitivity range of 20 to 45 Ampere-turns (AT). With a carry cur- rent of up to 5 amps, the KSK-1A82 is suitable for high-current and high power applications. It is hermetically
tion sensors, speed sensors, and liquid level sensors. Movement detection, end limit detection, counting and many other functions are enabled by this high-quality switch when used within reed sensors or reed relays. Reed switches are essential for solu- tions required by a long list of indus- tries, including aerospace, automo- tive, household, medical, and telecom- munications.

New Laird TE Cooling System For Cell Towers
Chesterfield, MO — New from Laird (LRD: London) is its AA-480 Series Outdoor Cooler which improves the reliability of cellular cover- age, keeping people connected during a power outage by pro- tecting the emergency batteries used in wireless base stations. When the power to a cellu-
lar antenna tower goes out, emergency batteries in the base station turn on to provide power for up to six hours. But battery life is significantly reduced by exposure to temperatures out- side the optimal range. That is why many wireless
base station operators take measures to ensure that emer- gency batteries are kept at the proper temperature, extending the life of those batteries, and ensuring more reliable cellular coverage dur- ing power outages. Laird’s new AA-480 Series
Outdoor Coolers protect these critical batteries by providing greater cool- ing power and increased reliability compared to other units currently on the market. And the AA-480 accom- plishes this using less energy and taking up less space compared to similar units. With a Coefficient of Perfor -
mance (COP) rating of 1, the coolers have nearly 50 percent more efficien- cy than standard air-to-air units offered today. This saves installation and maintenance costs for users as
