Chino, CA — Scienscope International, a complete inspection solutions provider, is exhibiting its new X-Scope 8000 AXI. AXI systems from Scienscope are fully automatic X-Ray inspection machines using new advanced servo axis motion technology in order to rotate the target, and move the flat panel detectors to an oblique angle. Using this new innovative design allows the machine to move to these positions quickly and precisely, which is important when using inline X-Ray for 100 percent inspection. This new innovative design enables the company to offer this very advanced X-Ray system at a price that is only a fraction of the cost of sim- ilar machines in this category. The new AXI machines will reportedly main-
tain the company’s best-in-class price to perform- ance ratio, and will also include top-notch features such as fully automated s/w tools. Standard features include: The latest technology sealed tube wide angle X-Ray source, ultra- high resolution digital flat panel detec-

tors, automatic void detection/calculation/reporting, automatic ball area measurement, automatic offset measurement, automatic missing ball and solder paste detection, and can accommodate board sizes
up to 650 x 600mm (25.5 x 23.6-in.). Operation is simplified by numerous built-in
automated tools that once set up, do not need to be touched or modified. In addition to the most impor- tant automated tools, there are many manual tools for easy manipulation. There is also not a lot of maintenance required for Scienscope X-Ray machines. The company uses the latest technology closed-tube x-ray sources that have micro-focus ability giving a crystal clear images and require no maintenance other than a simple calibration. Typical life expectancy of the tube is more than
