IPTE: Easy-Test-Handler and EasyRouter
Genk, Belgium —IPTE is showing its Easy-Test-Handler ETH and the depaneler EasyRouter. The Easy- Test-Handler ETH can be used for in-circuit or functional test as well as programming processes — all can be inline automated. The ETH is practi- cal for use with individual PCBs, multiple boards or corresponding carriers for circuit boards. Both single- or double-sided fix-
tures can be accommodated. The fix- tures can be changed quickly and easily. For optional parallel use of more than one Test-Handler, the Test-Handler can be equipped with a bypass. This allows continuous pro- duction, which is not interrupted by the testing process. In addition, the bypass can be used to optimize the cycle time. The ETH is an economical test
solution with compact footprint, integrating easily in a fully automat- ed SMEMA-compatible test environ-
ment, while providing enough space for 19-in. Test-Equipment (10 HE). The integrated LC-touch display provides access to all parameters and settings. Another product, the IPTE
EasyRouter PCB depaneling system, provides simple handling for quick plug-and-play use. The machine is equipped with a productive milling tool with a speed of up to 60mm/s for the fast routing of circuit boards from above. The loading and unloading of the depaneler takes place manually during the separating process using a rotating table on which non-com- plex and highly functional workpiece holders are mounted. For user com- fort, the Easy Router incorporates a light curtain gate, which significant- ly reduces the handling time without compromising operator safety. The X and Y drive mechanisms
for the milling operation during the separating process are equipped with

up-to-date, fast and precise linear- motor axes. For the easy program-
ming of the depaneling process, the EasyRouter comes with the camera- based CATS (Camera Aided Teach - ing System). Moreover, the program- ming can be carried out by using standard dxf files or with G-data codes. Both capabilities are available for off-line or on-line operation respectively. Additional options offered include a tool-break monitor system and a tool operating-time counter. Depending on the individual application, the user can also select from a broad range of dust vacuum- suction systems. A processor tool is available on request for the applica- tion of existing CAD data to ease the
programming task. Contact: IPTE, LLC, 5935
