conference in Hamburg was opened by Katie Murphy, exhibition director of AIX, with the news that there were 730 exhibitors at the show including 120 first timers. Richard Williams was our man on the ground. A networking forum to discuss the


vital strategic issues surrounding cabin innovation, consumer expectations and onboard strategies, the show was hosted by Aircraft Interiors Expo and WTCE before the shows opened. The conference saw key decision-makers from the product and service spectrum of the industry attend and was a chance for delegates to catch up with colleagues and capitalise on the insights and ideas presented by a line-up of 44 speakers from around the world. The speakers represented each corner of the industry, including 11 commercial airlines, aircraft companies, IFE providers, designers and brand consultants.
