Onboard caterers need to keep their finger on the pulse as food and packaging trends change says Marielle Bordewijk speaking at The Taste of Travel Theatre, WTCE, Hamburg. Read her predictions.

Marielle says: “Packaging is the fashion of food, it is influenced by many things from fashion and design to restaurant and consumer trends – they all have an affect on the development of packaging. “Food and packaging should always go together.
You can’t develop one without the other, especially food for airlines. In the future, packaging will pay a key role in telling the story of the products within, communicating with the consumer, adding to the experience and differentiating one product from another.
