BA pioneers landfill waste fuel
Solena Fuels in partnership with British Airways has committed to building the world’s first facility to convert landfill waste into jet fuel. The chosen location for this innovative
project is the Thames Enterprise Park, part of the site of the former Coryton oil refinery in Thurrock, Essex. The site has excellent transport links and existing fuel storage facilities. One thousand construction workers will be hired to build the facility which is due to be completed in 2017, creating up to 150 permanent jobs.

Cathay's new signature drink
A new signature drink will be served to Cathay Pacific Airways’ First and Business passengers following a Hong Kong mixologists' competition. Ten mixologists from some of Hong
Kong’s top bars and restaurants presented their unique non-alcoholic drinks for cabin crew at a tasting event and more than 1,400 cabin crew cast their votes. The winning drink was a tantalising blend of passion fruit, lemongrass and apple juice created by Marlo Guevarra from The Upper House. The crews will now have the chance to name the drink before serving it onboard.

Dragonair teams up with Hyatt
Dragonair's latest partnership with top restaurants and hotel chefs has brought a new menu onboard. In a link with Hugo’s of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui, a new inflight menu promotion was offered in First and Business for flights between Hong Kong and Beijing and Shanghai. The promotion included a series of carefully designed dishes selected to further enhance the dining experience of passengers. Hugo’s is a fine dining restaurant with a long history in Hong Kong, and is famous for its authentic European cuisine.
