Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING TAKING SLOT GAMING INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION

GTECH has taken slots gaming into glasses-free 3D with the glorious looking Sphinx 3D making a big impact at ICE

There was no doubting the stand out product on the GTECH stand, in more ways than one, with Sphinx 3D featuring glasses-free True 3D on the brand new AXXIS cabinet.

This is the first title in GTECH ’s new True 3D product line, which uses a glasses-free 3D dis- play designed exclusively for GTECH for the gaming industry by SeeFront. It uses a unique, patented auto-stereoscopic technology with integrated eye-tracking to make images jump off the screen or stretch into infinity in high resolu- tion.

Marcel Heutmekers, GTECH Vice President of Commercial Gaming, said: “After showing Sphinx 3D behind closed doors and gaining feedback, we’re delighted to launch this premium product. It really focuses on the player experience. Players don’t need to wear special 3D glasses but will be impressed by wilds stacked on the z-axis that rotate and jump out at them in 3D or stretch into infinity in high resolution.”

The five-reel, 30-line game, Sphinx 3D features an action-packed base game and a total of seven bonuses: two in the base game and five dedicated bonuses that players can select as part of the Sphinx Bonus selection.

The wow factor isn’t limited to the industry-

with an iconic illuminated sphinx head topping the unique cabinet, it stands out on the casino floor, making it eye-catching in more ways than one.

“We have a whole road map for games to be developed on this technology. The first field test are being held now,” Mr. Heutmekers explained. “We’re really looking forward to selling it.”
