t’s a world that only the privileged few ever experience as they turn left on boarding the aircraft to enter the world of First or Business class travel. These are the lucky passengers who receive the much cherished amenity kit. Following the Amenity Awards ceremony in Hamburg this year, the world’s press has picked up on the importance of amenity bags. Research has revealed just how much time and effort is spent on perfecting the best possible kit by both the suppliers and airlines. Said Robin Padgett, Emirates divisional vp catering to CNN Travel: “Amenity kits remain an integral part of our premium class onboard experience on night and longhaul flights and we constantly review and refresh our kits.” A CNN Travel feature entitled 'Cosmetic Perks of First Class Flying' written by senior producer, James Durston says: “Nothing says 'First Class' more than a Givenchy sleeper suit or a silk bag of La Prairie skincare lotion.” Darren Both at CNBC reviewed the winning bags in his article: 'The World’s Best Airline Swag Bags You Wish You Had!' Features have also appeared in Arabian Business, Grand Luxury Travel and the Daily Telgraph and most recently, Matthew Stibbe of Forbes quoted the Amenity Awards in his feature 'The Seven Leading First Class Airline Amenity Kits.'
