New baggage service at Mumbai

Passengers flying from Mumbai Airport can now pick up last minute travel essentials and take advantage of a new baggage shipping service from Excess Baggage Company. A pop-up outlet retails a broad range of travel goods including Carlton luggage and accessories. Linked to the unit, a baggage shipping service allows passengers to forward unaccompanied luggage. The new outlets are part of the airport’s current drive to further enhance its passenger facilities in advance of the opening of its new terminal early next year. The contract will run for two years. It marks Excess Baggage Company’s first business agreement in India.

David Elliott, md of Excess Baggage Company said the new offer was designed to help the airport achieve its ambition of competing with the globe’s leading airports. excess-baggage.com

Bloody Mary mix wins a 1 million unit airline deal

Suffolk UK-based specialist juice company, James White Drinks, has won a major contract worth nearly £250,000 a year to supply its brand leading 'Big Tom' spicy tomato juice in new 15cl cans to Skandjuice, a major European supplier to the airline industry.

The pack was developed specifically for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).

The contract will see James White Drinks supply at least one million units annually to the airline industry. The deal with SAS was secured after the airline decided to switch from a leading US brand to a non-genetically modified tomato juice. Big Tom is popular both as a savoury drink in its own right and with a shot of vodka. bigtom.co.uk
