Magical growth for Oven Wizards
n Oven Wizards franchise doubled in size again this year to become one of the fastest growing oven-cleaning franchises in the UK. This is the third consecutive year the business has experienced a 100 per cent increase. Managing director Mark Abbott said: “2013 is shaping up to be our best year so far, building on the success of the previous two years. We recruited nine new franchisees in the first half of 2013. We are thoroughly enjoying sharing our business ethos with our new franchisees and it is great to see them doing so well in their own territories.”
Steve Keen, Oven Wizards Colchester, is one new franchisee enjoying the business momentum. “My launch went very well indeed and I have a great springboard to push on from. I am really, really enjoying it. My first working day was great and emphasised what a good decision I made.” According to a recent survey by market analysts Mintel, 66 per cent of homeowners cite cleaning the oven as their most hated household chore.
TaxAssist Accountants reach 150-store milestone
n TaxAssist Accountants has plenty to celebrate this year. After a successful start to the year, with sales of almost £3million in January alone, the financial service franchise opened its 150th shop in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. 50 offices across the UK complete its 200-strong network of premises. Andrew Twynam, owner of TaxAssist Accountants in Chesham and Hemel Hempstead, said: “I set up in serviced offices in Hemel Hempstead in March 2012, but knew I wanted to be in a shop-front premise as soon as possible. While looking for suitable premises, the franchisor came across the high street office space in Chesham and I knew it was perfect.
“I am delighted to have opened the
new high-street office; we’re already experiencing a huge increase in customer enquiries and small business owners dropping in since we opened. We hope to replicate this by moving to a suitable shop-front in Hemel Hempstead in the not too distant future.”
James Mattam, business development manager, added: “Where the franchise model adds value is the strength of a corporate brand, the high visibility of the TaxAssist Accountants shop-front premises and an extremely experienced network and central support centre. “2013 has been a very positive year so far. It goes without saying that money is required to get any business up and
running, and investing in a franchise is a sensible way to spend your savings. If you don’t have enough funds to cover the costs (including fees, training, materials etc), you don’t have to abandon all hope of running your own business.
