Autumn show licensed to thrill R
– 18th at Londonʼs Olympia. Now in its 14th year, this yearʼs show is set to be the busiest yet with 200 exhibitors already signed up, and over 40 organisations exhibiting for the first time. Endemol Worldwide Brands, MGA Entertainment, Museum of London, Royal Opera House Enterprises, The British Library, Royal Museums Greenwich and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe are just some of those taking part for the first time this year.
Highlights of the show include:
■ The Licensing Academy: where retailers and licensees can choose from free-to-attend seminars, workshops, discussions and keynotes designed to advance their licensing skill base and learn from industry experts about hot trends and opportunities. ■ License This! Competition: the ʻDragonʼs Denʼ style challenge that offers those with brand new creative concepts the opportunity to break into the global licensing industry. ■ Screening Suite: a fully working cinema, allowing visitors to enjoy advanced previews of some of the hottest blockbusters to hit our screens. This yearʼs show also boasts a new look and creative design. Rachel Cowdrey, marketing manager Europe, explains: “We wanted to reinvigorate the look and feel of the event and reflect the growth that the show has seen over the past five years. “We feel that this yearʼs creative encompasses everything that Brand Licensing Europe has to offer and will grab the attention of our visitors, encouraging them to register.”

Garment supplier Blue Max Banner is adding 30 yearsʼ experience to its IT department with the appointment of Angela Brettell as a Systems Analyst. Staff moves at Prestige Leisure
The continuing rapid growth at Prestige Leisure has prompted internal reorganisation in the Sales and Marketing Department. The Livingston-based companyʼs main business is to supply branded leisurewear to printers, embroiderers and promotional companies who service the corporate, uniform, schoolwear, workwear and teamwear markets. Jennifer Weightman, who many Prestige customers will know and who has been with the company for six years is relinquishing her dual role in sales and marketing in order to concentrate on customer development and strategic account management, is promoted to sales manager.
Fiona Conway becomes the new marketing manager after two years with the company.
