New ʻduck-weaveʼ tea towel from Westford Mill W
estford Mill has broadened its ʻBags For Lifeʼ offering in 2012 with the launch of the new W701
Tea Towel.
Made from 100% cotton fabric (170 gsm), which uses a fine ʻduck weaveʼ to ensure the smoothest surface for the best quality embellishment, the product measures 70 x 50 cm and is offered in natural or white.
“The W701 is a bit of a departure for Westford Mill, as our sole focus to date
has been reusable bags for large volume orders.
“However, the new tea towel fits well with the current product range and remains faithful to our core proposition of supplying ʻquality product at budget costʼ,” comments the brandʼs Hannah Knaggs.
The tea towel features finishing to all edges (many tea towels are finished on only two of their edges), and is suitable for all types of textile decoration. Hannah
comments: “The W701 would make a perfect fund-raising item for schools and charities.

Decorators could print a self- portrait of each pupil in the school onto the towels, which could then be sold to the
pupilsʼ parents: the towels make great presents for grandparents and other family friends and relatives. “Tea towels are also great add- on sales into the nursery and childrenʼs art class markets, and are a classic souvenir item – tourist attractions, holiday resorts, events organisers and theme parks are just some of the potential customers. “Anybody who is already buying souvenir T shirts or bags from you is a potential customer for suitably decorated tea towels.”
She continues: “The W701ʼs fine weave fabric is especially easy to print and delivers exceptional results, while the high standard of finishing raises the towelʼs perceived value to end-users. Itʼs a classic product that is already proving very successful in the market for Westford Mill customers.” ■ For more information on the new W701 Tea Towel visit
