Beckhoff Adds Manual Operating Modules to Bus Terminal Line


Burnsville, MN — Beckhoff Auto - mation has introduced the new KL85xx manual operating module series to provide more convenient interface options for machinery. These modules mount conveniently on the outside of control cabinet doors using a snap-in system. In addition to easy manual machine intervention without opening the control cabinet, these digital and analog I/O modules also enable the convenient observa- tion of process data. A total of four different module


types are available for manual oper- ating functions: the KL8519, 16- channel, 24VDC digital inputs to monitor machine status; the KL8528, 8-channel, 24VDC at 0.5A per chan- nel digital outputs can follow pro- grammed outputs, disable outputs individually or manually turn on out- puts individually; the KL8524, 4 x 2- channel, 24VDC at 0.5A digital out- put module that has 8 channels grouped in pairs such that, for each set, only one output is allowed to be on at once; the KL8548 8-channel analog output, 0 to 10V, with changeover between manual and automatic mode, the analog output


Yamaichi: CFP MSA Compliant Connector Family


San Jose, CA — Yamaichi Electronics USA is introducing its CFP connec- tor product family CA009 series which complies with the CFP Multi- Source Agreement (MSA) specifica- tion. CFP MSA defines optical trans- ceiver form factor to enable 40Gbps and 100Gbps applications. The CA009 series, currently in mass-pro- duction, fully supports the current generation of 10Gbps x 10 channels and 148pins CFP requirements. The company is also working


with CFP MSA to develop connectors for the next generation of optical trans- ceivers called CFP2 and CFP4. These modules have smaller outline dimen- sions and pin counts than the current CFP, while the required signal speed is bumped up to 28Gbps per lane. The CA009 series consists of Host


Connectors (CA009-S001-001), Heat Sink Assemblies (CA009-13*0-001), Guide Rail (CA009-1201-001), Connector Cover (CA009-1400-001), External Bracket (CA009-1300-001) and Back Plate Assembly (CA009- 1204-001). In order to secure the mat- ing reliability between the module and host interfaces, the Plug Connector (CA009-P001-001) is utilized on the module, capable of the 200 cycle of mating requirement.
