Charity? Thanks to ENF Community Investments Program grants, more people are associating the Elks with service. Every lodge that meets the GER’s per capita goal automatically qualifies for a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant. With the help of these grants, Elks lodges across the country are finding creative ways to serve their communities and raise their profiles in their communities. For example, the Sahuarita, Arizona, Lodge used a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to organize a “baby shower” for the Green Valley– Sahuarita Community Food Bank, which was in need of baby supplies. The entire community pitched in, with the Elks leading the endeavor. The pantry, now stocked with everything from diapers to formula, has benefited greatly from the Elks’ support. “We meet people every day who struggle to provide for themselves and their families,” says Mary Jane Goodrick, the pantry’s executive director. “Through education, advocacy,
