Yasmin Ramadan and $500 scholar- ships to students Ashley Machalany and Manish Sreveetsan. Lodge members also awarded $250 scholar- ships to four other students and $100 scholarships to nine other students.
Palisades Park-Fort Lee, NJ, Lodge held a Penny Social Tricky Tray Raffle fund-raiser and raised nearly $1,800 for the Elks National Foundation. The lodge also used a $600 donation from a retail store to donate $200 each to the Elks National Foundation and the lodge’s Special Children Committee and Veterans Service Committee. The lodge also presented a $500 donation from a local child care center to the New Jersey State Elks Association’s Army of Hope Program, which assists the families of deployed US troops. In other news, lodge members distributed dictionaries to nearly 170 third- and fourth-grade students at Charles A. Lindbergh Elementary School and the Notre Dame Inter- parochial Academy.
Beacon, NY, Lodge members distrib- uted more than 240 thesauruses to sixth-grade students at Rombout Middle School
Clifton Park, NY, Lodge members shipped 50 boxes full of gifts and

supplies to US Marines serving in Afghanistan.
Haverstraw, NY, Lodge members attended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Daniel Green, of Boy Scout Troop No. 2146, and gave him a certificate and a US flag. For his Eagle Scout Project, Green led a team of qualified electricians who rewired the St. Joan of Arc Church building.
Huntington, NY, Lodge held a Dona- tion Drive. Lodge members gathered 450 pairs of pajamas and donated them to the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless. They also collected 100 boxes of toiletries, snacks, and other small gifts and shipped them to US troops in Afghanistan. Among the items shipped to the troops were a total of 300 Frisbees. Lodge members were assisted in these projects by scouts from Girl Scout Troop Nos. 3838 and 3696.
North Tonawanda, NY, Lodge donated a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to the City of Tonawanda Parks and Recre- ation Department to help sponsor the 17th annual Kids Fishing Derby.
