a US flag, a souvenir coin, and a monetary award worth $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place. Lodge members also gave certificates, coins, and flags to the other 33 participants in the contest in ceremonies at their schools. The three winners were Sunset Terrace Elementary School students Anjali Goradia (first) and Victoria Johnson (second) and Jefferson Elementary School student Sophia Haglund (third).


Winona, MN, Lodge members shipped seven care packages to members of the Minnesota Army National Guard C


Company, 2nd Battalion, 135th Infantry. The unit was deployed to Kuwait in the fall of 2011.


Affton, MO, Lodge members delivered Christmas food baskets to 80 needy families. Each basket contained a traditional Christmas dinner, toys and clothes for the children of the family, and a gift card. Two of the children who benefited from the program also received bicycles.


DeSoto, MO, Lodge hosted its second annual First Responders Barbecue. More than 280 first responders and family members attended the dinner. Lodge members also delivered meals to 26 on-duty firefighters, police officers, and dispatchers.


Florissant, MO, Lodge members participated in a ceremony to welcome home US military personnel returning from service in Iraq and Afghanistan.


Kansas City, MO, Lodge members awarded scholarships to students Nathan Are, Camille Goehausen, Jordan Jensen, Lucia Maschler, LaSha Sanders, and Cooper Wright. The total value of the scholarships was $6,500.


Fort Myers, FL, Lodge sponsored four boys and four girls to compete in the state Soccer Shoot championship. Of the eight children, three placed first in their age-groups in the contest, three placed second, and two placed third. South Hillsborough, FL, Lodge used a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to donate three document cameras and three document projectors to the Ruskin Christian School.
