Aluminum Melting Furnace Reduces Energy Consumption 铝合金熔化炉的节能
Striko Westofen, Wiehl-Bomig, Germany, has released
its new PurEfficiency series of its StrikoMelter aluminum melting shaft furnace line. Te PurEfficiency furnaces reduce energy consumption by 10-15% compared to previ- ous versions without modification to installation height. In the benchmark test under real foundry conditions, an energy consumption of 525 kWh/ton was measured for the first time in the new two-chamber melting and hold- ing furnace (MH II-T 3,000/1,500 PurEfficiency) with a melting capacity of 1,500 kg/hour. Te energy consump- tion includes after-heating for a constant pool temperature of 720C. Tis efficiency gain was made possible by an integral examination of the furnace body, refractory lining and burner design. StrikoWestofen employed computation fluid dynam- ics to analyze heat transfer, optimize the burner arrange- ment and design the furnace geometry. Finite element methods are used to design the steel structure. For the PurEfficiency series, the furnace refractory
was completely revised, with critical improvements in areas under high mechanical stress and in the insulator materials used. The improvements provide considerable savings, longer service life and lower repair costs. The PurEfficiency series is also available with melting rates of 1,500 to 3,500 kg/hour and holding capacity from 3,000 to 6,000 kg, in stationary and tiltable designs. The entire StrikoMelter-tower melter line includes a Westomat dosing furnace, crucibles for melt- ing and/or holding, magnesium
