U.K.’s Westley Sells Mathers Foundry to Indian Group 欧洲Westley公司将Mathers铸造公司卖给了印度集团
Centrifugal casting powerhouse Westley Group, West
Midlands, U.K., has sold its Mathers Foundry to WPIL Ltd., Kolkata, India. Publically traded WPIL is a combined pump manufac-
turer and high grade alloy steel casting group. “We are very pleased to have been responsible for the forma-
tion and development of Mathers Foundry, whose core compe- tence of manufacturing complex, high grade steel alloys for use in challenging environments exactly complements the WPIL Group of companies,” said Rob Salisbury, Westley Group’s commercial director. “We are proud to have worked with the management team and all the employees in Mathers Foundry.” According to a press release issued by the Westley Group, the business will continue to run from its facility in Man- chester by its existing management team. According to its website, Westley Group is one of
Europe’s largest ferrous and nonferrous casting groups and consists of five brands: Spunalloys, Walter Frank, Francis W. Birkett, Westleys and J.T. Price. Te group employs more than 200 and has annual revenues above $46 million. ■
