RELENTLESS ENERGY DRINK NASS FESTIVAL
www..nassfestival.com 8th July - Somerset
The 8th of July saw Somerset welcome hoards of not
just
music lovers, but fans of extreme action sports alike. It lived up to expectations with epic performances from Ms Dynamite, Nero, Tinie Tempah and Modestep - and that was just the main stage. The Drum and Bass Arena was popping off through to the early hours with a sea of people bouncing to sets played by Joker, Breakage, DJ Hype and more.
Although the festival-goers revelled in all of the amazing artists’ performances, it
was the sports aspect of the event that attracted the fans really craving a bit of action. We witnessed some of the best in BMX, skate, inline,
FMX, scooter and
mountain-boarding competing throughout the festival, with BMX and world skate winners Mark Webb and Kevin Hoefler walking away with a share of the £50,000 prize money. Thanks to the sun for making a guest appearance and to NASS for a “Motherf*cking sick”, action-packed weekend... Cannot wait ‘til next year!

Now you can forego the hassle of plas- tic cups and sticky spillages and just crack open your can of Southern Comfort and Cola, so you can get on with enjoying the festival without missing out on the action.
6th - 13th July - Petrcane, Croatia
Rather than follow the festival trend and try to cram as many people as possible into one sweaty place, The Garden Festival put two fingers up at the annually mounting numbers of Europe’s biggest festivals and decided to cut its maxi- mum capacity! News of the small festival spread like wildfire by word-of-mouth back when it started back in 2005, and numbers jumped from just a few hundred attendees to 3000 in 2008. This year the organisers limited the capacity to just 2000, keeping the event cosy, intimate and subsequently ex- clusive. The festival stayed fresh and progressive with its old skool heads, famous Argonaut boat parties and its emphasis on quality rather than big attractions, which is what makes this festival so special. Expect wicked sets from Norman Jay and Crazy P as the headliners and great weather allowing festival-goers to make the most of the complex’s outdoor ter- races and bars. The Garden Festival may be getting smaller but its reputation continues to grow.
EXIT FESTIVAL 7th - 10th July - Petro-
www.exitfest.org
varadin, Serbia Since it started in 2000, Exit festival has been attempting to stake its claim at the top of the global festival hierarchy and we can assure you it does not disappoint. The first thing that strikes you about Exit is the sheer magnitude of it! There are no fields here - imagine the Queen holding a rave at Windsor castle, then imagine it 10 times bigger and you get some idea of what this monster summer party was like. More than 500 acts and a quarter of a million people crowded into an 18th century fortress in Danube, kicking off a four day rave with sets from Chromeo, Jamiroquai and LCD Soundsystem to Missy Elliot. Exit has already won the ‘Best European Festival’ award as voted by its revellers, and although it grows in size and scale every year, it’s the attention to detail and the warm hospitality of the Serbian locals that really make this festival stand out. Overall a wicked festival... We can’t wait until next year!!
