Taekwondo

Taekwondo, one of the newest Olympic sports, is a 2000-year-old martial art, offering a variety of benefits for people of all ages and physical abilities. Students have the opportunity to improve concentration and self esteem, achieve lifelong physical fitness, and learn self-defense skills. Classes are taught under the direction of G.Master Ki Hong Kim(8th DanWorld Taekwondo Federation.)

A $45 uniformfee is required at the first class. Belt testing is

offered through the K.H. Kim’s Taekwondo at an additional fee. Testing schedule is two times per year. All colored belt students are required to have complete sparring gears.

Little Dragons

(Age 4 - 5 years)

This introductory class is designed to captivate the interest of our youngest students. Skills are developed through gentle instruction and appropriate games for their ability. This class focuses on developing balance, coordination, and respect for the discipline of martial arts training.

This programincludes a balanced cardiovascular workout, including punching, kicking, and blocking skills, using the Taekwondo tradition, and self-control. Participants improve coordination, power of concentration, balance, and both physical andmental discipline.

Youth Summer Baseball/Softball Leagues

And hear the one ball two strike pitch…

Do you love playing baseball or softball? Then this league is for you. Come out and join this new and exciting summer baseball/softball league. Participants go through one week of age-based evaluations, then split into teams and play one game a dayMonday through Thursday. All games are played in themorning between 9:00 amand Noon. Each player receives a teamjersey (hat and shirt) and each player is required to bring their own glove, bat, pants, and water bottle. The goal of this league is to have fun while teaching the game of baseball and softball. Three coaches are on the field at all times, and will be pitching to each batter. After all the games are played, the final week will be our Downers Grove Park DistrictWorld Series week. Each player receives a schedule of game times after the evaluation week.
