Boys and girls showcase their ability in pitching, hitting and base running.Winners fromeach age group qualify for the sectional level competition which takes placemid-May to early June. 33rd Annual Downers Grove 5 & 10 Miler

The Downers Grove Park District, in cooperation with theVillage of Downers Grove, presents this annual run through the scenic residential streets of Downers Grove. Recently rated CARA Runners Choice Circuit, the gently rolling,USATF certified five-mile course is wellmarked andmonitored and includes four water stations. Ten-Miler participants complete two loops. The first 500 registrants receive a technical racing shirt. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, call Pat Semple at 630.963.1304.

Entry forms are available beginningMay 1 at Lincoln Center and the Recreation Center. The deadline for pre-race registration is Wednesday, June 9 at 4:00 pm.

Race Packet Pick-up

Race packets for pre-registered runners will be available Friday, June 11 from4:00 - 7:00 pmand Saturday, June 12 from9:00 am- 12 noon at Lincoln Center, 935Maple Avenue. Runners who wish to pick up their packet on Friday or Saturdaymust register by 4:00 pmonWednesday, June 9.

Sponsored by the Downers Grove SquiresMen’s Golf Leaguemade possible in part by a grant fromtheVillage of Downers Grove. Registration includes greens fee, small bucket of range balls, prizes and lunch consisting of a hot dog, chips and soft drink. This is a 9-hole stroke play - boys and girls divisions. Tee times begin at 12:00 noon and continue until all golfers have teed off. Registration deadline isMonday, June 14. 9th annual Take YourDaughter to the CourseWeek, July 5 - 9, is

offered under the Play Golf America banner, an industry-wide initiative to increase participation.We are offering free greens fees to junior girls (18 and younger) who are accompanied by a paying adult.
