SOCCER LEAGUE
Volunteer coaches introduce the fundamentals of playing soccer through weekly practices and an eight-match schedule that emphasizes proper techniques, knowledge of rules, team strategy, participation and fun. Bring a soccer ball to practice.
The park district soccer league relies on a volunteer coaching system and every team must have a coach. Anyone interested in coaching should contact the park district at 630.960.7250.
TEAM ASSIGNMENT NOTE
Teams created according to the following criteria: • School attended • Grade • Balance of gender • Roster size • Friendship request/Coach preference
In general, our goal is to keep players fromthe same school
on the same team. Should enrollment numbers and roster maximums not accommodate this practice, schoolsmay be combined to formteams. Teammaximums are based on enrollment numbers at the time of the registration deadline.
Game Sites: To be determined by the park district
Game Dates: August 14 - October 9.No games September 4. Early Registration: $R/NR: $60/$90
Registration Fee $R/NR: $75/$105 after June 14: Uniforms:
$16 jerseys (green & yellow) & $5 socks (green)
Games canceled due to weather conditions will not bemade up. Refunds will not be issued for game cancellations. Friend/coach requests are not guaranteed.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Please carefully review the registration procedures as there have been some changes. Payment and a signed waivermust be submitted with registration form.
RESIDENT/NONRESIDENT PLAYERS
Mail-in, drop-off and online registration beginsMonday, June 7. Each season new teams are formed and grouped as specified above. Returning players are not guaranteed the same teamfrom season to season. To be eligible for the Early Registration Fee, registration formsmust be received byMonday, June 21. After this date, the Regular Registration Fee will be charged. The deadline for all registrations is Tuesday, July 6. Registration forms received
after Tuesday, July 6 will be placed on a wait list.
