or Joe and Madeline Morgan, franchising offered more than a route into business ownership. It

provided the opportunity to build a family- run enterprise rooted in shared values, community impact and high-quality care. When Joe left a 30-year career in

aerospace in search of a new challenge, he'd long harboured ambitions of running his own business but was also in search of something meaningful. “Faith and the Church are central to our

family,” explains Madeline. “We wanted a business that would benefit others and enable us to give something back.” After researching the homecare sector,

the couple approached several franchise brands but, for them, Right at Home stood out. “It was clear that we would need to prove to them that we were worthy of being awarded the franchise, rather than

them trying to convince us to buy one,” says Joe. At the time, Madeline was teaching

full-time and expected to support the business from the sidelines. Instead, she found herself actively involved from the beginning. “Right at Home wanted me to join Joe for meetings regardless,” she says. “Their whole approach felt family-oriented and inclusive. We could see how much of a difference we could make in our community, and we knew this was a business we would be proud to run.”

Joe. “There’s a real feel-good factor to what we do because we know we’re making a difference.” For Madeline, that impact remains

the greatest reward. “The feedback from clients and their families just warms your heart. Yes, this is a profitable and growing business, but having a business we can be so proud of brings the greatest satisfaction.” Joe agrees. Reflecting on a client who
