INTRODUCTION
Aoife is 19, and works part-time in a café in Galway. She has noticed three things at work over the last few months:
• A lot of secondary school and college students come in asking if the café sells bubble tea.
• The café has had to turn them away each time. • The nearest bubble tea shop is a 25-minute walk away in the city centre.
She thinks there is an opportunity to open a small bubble tea kiosk near her college. Before she spends her savings on equipment and stock, she wants to know if her idea will actually work.
8. Analyse interpret and communicate research findings using charts and infographics.
CLASS ACTIVITY
1. Suggest two questions Aoife should try to answer before she opens the kiosk.
2. Suggest two ways Aoife could find answers to those questions.
3. Aoife asks her five closest friends and they all say they would buy bubble tea from her every week. Is this enough proof to go ahead? Give a reason.
4. If you were going to invest money in Aoife’s idea, what is the most important information you would like from her?
