The Department of Justice Services was honored with the 2024 Dr. Rance Thomas Excellence in Community Partnership Award from St. Louis Community College for the college education program.


Municipal Court Director Courtney Whiteside


was recognized with the Outstanding Leadership and Dedication Award from the National Association for Court Administration.


The St. Louis Metro Section of the American


Planning Association bestowed the Dwight F. Davis Award for Outstanding Planning Advocate to the late Wayne Hilzinger, chair of the County’s Planning Commission, which was accepted by his wife and daughters.


Public Health employee Ernest McDonnell


Jr. received the Good Apple Award from the non-profit Missouri Appleseed for his work implementing Medicaid enrollment in the County Jail.
