Letter from the County Executive Dear Saint Louis County,
As we reflect on 2024, I am proud to share the many accomplishments that underscore our County’s commitment to progress, safety, and prosperity. Saint Louis County continues to serve as the economic engine of Missouri, driving opportunities across our region. Together, we have achieved milestones that set the foundation for an even brighter future.
To better tell our story, we rolled out a new logo and branding for Saint Louis County in 2024, positioning ourselves as Opportunity Central. A strong identity helps us build credibility, foster community pride, and improve the delivery of services our residents have come to expect.
Our brand also helps us attract new businesses and strengthens our reputation as a hub for innovation – from AgTech at 39North in Creve Coeur, to the revival of Westport Plaza, and building Gateway Studios in Chesterfield. This engaging brand identity demonstrates that government isn’t just a collection of services but a committed partner in our community’s growth and well-being.
Another notable highlight was the opening of two new police precincts. By modernizing our infrastructure, we are not only enhancing community policing efforts but also fostering stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve.
For the first time in 40 years, we embarked on developing a new comprehensive plan. As we move forward, the County remains committed to finalizing and implementing STLCO 2050, with the goal of fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient community for generations to come.
Together, we are building a County where every resident has the opportunity to thrive. But that doesn’t happen without the dedication and passion of more than 4,000 County employees. I invite you to explore the pages of this report to learn more about our achievements and the work that lies ahead.
