Revitalization Westport

In 2024, Saint Louis County celebrated the transformative revitalization efforts at Westport Plaza, a 42-acre business complex that serves as a regional hub for business, entertainment, and residential life.

Key highlights of the revitalization include

the relocation of Rawlings, a globally renowned sports equipment manufacturer, to Westport Plaza, alongside the introduction of the Rawlings Experience, an immersive store perfect for baseball fans of all ages. Other exciting dining and entertainment options include Westport Social, 360 Westport, Westport Soda Fountain Express, and more! The addition of residential apartments and a fitness center has further elevated Westport Plaza as a vibrant mixed-use destination. These enhancements underscore a commitment to creating a dynamic, engaging space that blends commercial, residential, and recreational offerings.

Supporting these developments, the Saint

Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works worked on a critical $4.8 million infrastructure project.

This initiative focused on the pavement

resurfacing of West Port Plaza Drive and Marine Avenue, spanning from Glenmeade Drive to Lackland Road.

-Curb Repairs: Restoring and reinforcing curbs to ensure longevity and safety.

-ADA-Compliant Curb Ramps: Upgrading infrastructure to meet accessibility standards, fostering inclusivity.

-Sidewalk Repairs: Enhancing pedestrian pathways for safety and ease of use.

-Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) Upgrades: Modernizing traffic signals to improve accessibility for all users.

-Traffic Signal Replacement: Replacing aging infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable traffic management.
