In 2024, Saint Louis County’s Customer
Service Division, or 311, helped hundreds of thousands of residents find what they need. Our staff answered 67,094 phone calls and helped more than 155,476 people who came to our government buildings in person.
Our Records Center also had a busy
year, scanning in an impressive 408,239 records and processing 7,551 records for our departments.
Our Administration Department kept their AAA rating from Fitch Ratings, which is the highest rating assigned by the agency. The department also kept their S&P Global AA+/stable outlook rating.
Our Treasury staff processed 14,049 transactions totaling more than $1.2 billion.
Our Performance Management and Budget office trained 145 county staff in process improvement techniques through the Spark! Program.
Transportation and Public Works secures $17.2 million in grant funding. In 2024, the Department of Transportation and Public Works secured $17.2 million in grant funding. Of that funding, $15.4 million was for the Surface Transportation Program. This money will help fund improvements to Old Halls Ferry Road, Barrett Station Road, Baptist Church Road, and West Florissant Avenue.
Fleet electrified! Saint Louis County continues its work toward electrifying its fleet of vehicles. In 2024, our vehicle fleet contains 10 fully electric and 43 hybrid vehicles, which represents five percent of the light duty vehicles. Saint Louis County used federal Department of Energy funding to buy five Ford Mach E Crossover vehicles while also installing nine chargers at County facilities.
The HR recruitment team interviewed 2,941 people and processed 790 new hires.
