WIRELESS VIDEO AND CONTROL FOR WIRED CAMERAS Aida Imaging BY DAVID FOX
Aida’s new IPCOMM-POE provides any IP-based camera with wireless functionality to submit video or control over most WiFi-based routers or networks. It is designed primarily for small or mobile live production and is suitable for providing a wireless connection for hard-to-reach camera setups. The low-cost device links to the camera over Ethernet and includes
a PoE+ injector, which can directly supply DC12V power to a PoE+ capable camera. It can also run off a standard NPF battery, for complete mobility, which also powers the camera.
It supports a wide range of
streaming protocols, such as RTSP, RTMP or SRT, and any video transmission that uses Ethernet can be sent from the camera through the IPCOMM-POE to a nearby WiFi router with little to no latency under perfect conditions. The device can work with 2.4/5GHz networks and

MK/IO is being unveiled at IBC as a complete streaming solution built on Microsoft Azure. The MediaKind solution
offers VOD and live streaming, encoding, and packaging services with DRM support and a native media player to app developers, video services providers and platforms. Built on the Azure cloud and transactable on Azure marketplace, MK/IO aims to offer one-click API parity
and seamless asset migration for all users of Azure Media Services, including a straightforward pricing model to simplify the overall experience. Streaming of video assets
previously generated with Azure Media Services is fully supported at launch, along with MKPlayer, a video player equivalent to the Azure Media Services player.
