Caton Technology BY ADRIAN PENNINGTON
The Caton Media XStream service can carry content at high quality from any location, via the Caton Cloud. Thanks to its use of AI to continually reroute signals across multiple paths, Media XStream is claimed to consistently deliver reliability exceeding 99.9999%, breaking the barriers of standard IP contribution services.
IBC demonstrations focus on three key applications. For broadcast networks, Caton shows how a

The same AI managed, dynamically controlled transmission makes Caton Media XStream
applicable to live sports broadcasting, transforming delivery and integrating with existing infrastructure. Transparent real- time monitoring and analytics for both the transport layer and the broadcast stream provide confi dence for engineers and
producers, says the company. The third application is the delivery of live events to cinemas, providing high quality at each venue with minimal engineering demands, and an elevated consumer experience. Paul Weiser, SVP, Caton
Technology, said: “In today’s world, there are so many applications which need very reliable, high- quality transmission circuits, often between continents. Caton has a proven solution, already in wide use, that delivers on every level. We invite IBC visitors to come and see all this in action.” 1.F36
