INSIGHTS INTO LIVE AND ON-DEMAND Agama Technologies BY ADRIAN PENNINGTON

Agama is introducing a Content Engagement Analytics app that generates insights into the consumption of live and on- demand services by using actual telemetry data from any device, whether it is an app, STB or connected TV. Creating insights into the content usage of live and on- demand services is becoming

increasingly important for every organisation to make better- informed decisions, such as optimising content budget and increasing overall video performance engagement. Johan Görsjö, Director of

Product & Engineering, Agama, said: “With the new app, video service providers can gain a complete view of the way their content is being consumed across a variety of platforms and devices, as well as tracking trends over time, by making use

69

of key engagement metrics that are provided for each service, asset and device.

“Measuring key engagement metrics helps to understand which content is actually viewed and how it is viewed across platforms and devices. It also demonstrates how users interact with video content across platforms, allowing businesses to improve their services and expand their audience.” 1.C65

WALL OF EMERALD SHINES FOR AV AND KVM Black Box BY DAVID FOX

Black Box is showing additions to its Emerald KVM-over-IP platform that it claims offers “exceptional user experiences with anywhere, anytime remote access”. The new EmeraldAV Wall features the same small-form-factor layout as its existing Emerald Deskvue, which allows users to create a personalised workspace in which they can monitor and interact with up to 16 physical and virtual machines.

Görsjö: ‘Video service providers can gain a complete view’

Another Black Box: The new EmeraldAV Wall

EmeraldAV Wall, for both AV and KVM, enables interoperability with Emerald KVM-over-IP systems while also supporting non-KVM environments. It is suitable for small control rooms, where it will make it easy to display a single

source from an Emerald KVM or AV installation on a video wall for viewing by a larger group. EmeraldAV Wall directly supports a 2x2 video wall, but this number can be increased by using additional units.

S3 SATCOM ACQUISITION DELIVERS RESULTS dB Broadcast

BY ADRIAN PENNINGTON

IBC2023 is seeing the fruit of dB Broadcast’s acquisition of S3 Satcom, now fully integrated into its core operations. Multiple S3 Satsio antenna and tracking systems have been delivered and successfully installed across numerous sites, with more in the pipeline. David Bird, Managing Director & Founder of dB Broadcast, said: “Both product portfolio and the integration business of S3 Satcom have dovetailed neatly with dB Broadcast’s existing

system integration capabilities. We are delighted to welcome David Cope and Peter Ritchie as integral members of the team at dB Broadcast, utilising their many years of commercial and technical delivery experience.” Project successes include the integration of a new 3.8m system including a S3 Satsio for an established UK operator, with an updated release of S3 Fiesta M&C software to support the installation including components such as an L-band matrix from ETL and RX1 IRDs from MediaKind.

As part of dB Broadcast’s continuing investment

According to Tom Fitzgerald, KVM Product Manager, Black Box, the latest additions to the Emerald platform mean it can cater for users “looking for seamless control over multiple computers from a single user console using desktop KVMs, or wanting to establish hybrid workspaces by distributing top- notch video, audio and peripheral signals across physical and virtualised server infrastructures with varied interfaces and resolutions”. 10.F40

dB Broadcast has integrated S3 Satcom products into its core business

programme for the ongoing development of the products, several systems – including a 3.8m S3 Satsio – have been installed at its premises for test and development purposes. Bird added: “We continue to

go from strength to strength and this expansion further enhances the breadth of products and system integration projects dB can deliver.” 1.C27, 10.A30
