Hand file is a general term used for all shapes of large, 6" & 8" files. it can also be used to describe the flat or pillar file. these files must be fitted with a handle before use and cleaning your files regularly will prolong their life.
Escapement Files
the body size of these files is generally much smaller than needle Files, and are used in a much finer cut i.e. cut 6. although the handle is square it is comfortable to hold without a handle and also enables greater control.
Riffler Files
these files have shaped and curved file blades, in a medium cut, at either end of a square handle. ideal for intricate designs.
