place your clay at the bottom of the pot, before placing the vented insert over the clay, make sure that the clay does not touch the vents. dampen one of the two sponges provided before placing over the vents, and close the lid. Your clay will remain at an ideal consistency and ready to work when removed. For prolonged storage, check every so often to ensure the sponge does not dry out. the sponge should be damp, but not dripping wet.

to use prometheus Wood clay powder, mix the required amount of powder with a teaspoon of water into a small dish, adding more water if needed. When the required consistency has been reached mould the clay into the desired shape then allow to dry for 24 hours, then cover with any metal clay and fire it. please note, remember to leave a small hole uncovered with metal clay to ensure the wood clay burns out before firing.
