our Platinum hC Casting Pieces are made from a Platinum Cobalt alloy, a superior composition for lost wax casting and ideal for creating high-end pieces. each piece approximately measures 10mm length and 2mm width, each weighing approximately 0.7g. the compact nature of these wires offer a good density and promotes uniform melting, guaranteeing consistent results. due to platinum's distinctive properties, the melting point is higher than that of gold; 1750-1765C, with a casting temperature of 1900-1950ºC. Please note; Platinum casting can only be carried out using phosphate bonded investment powders. this alloy is for casting only. these casting pieces are sold as seen and cannot be cut to requirements
