1. (a) Take a look at the images on page 1. Consider the association each image has with the theme of ‘home’. Rank the images from most relevant (1) to least relevant (6).
(b) Share the image that you feel ranks the highest. Explain your choice and listen as others share their choice with you.
(c) What image would you choose to replace the image that you feel ranks the lowest? Describe the image you would replace it with and explain your choice.
2. Fill in the unit review on pages 13–14 of your Portfolio. Language skills 1. Write out the following passage, making corrections as you go.

3. Write a paragraph about a fi lm that you have studied or enjoyed. Refer to the techniques listed above in your answer.
Oral assessment
Prepare a two-minute speech entitled ‘What Home Means to Me’. Carefully consider what home means to you. Plan what you would like to say. Write your speech. Practise the delivery of your speech. Make sure it is two minutes long.
When you are ready, deliver your speech to your classmates.
