Focus on ... vocabulary Vocabulary refers to the words you know and use.
It is important to expand your vocabulary with new words. Try to include some new words in your own writing. Look out for ways of improving your expression when redrafting your work. Ask yourself the following questions:
Can I find a better way of writing this sentence? Can I vary the words that I have used?
In pairs, return to the article and find any words or phrases that are new to you. Can you guess what they mean, based on the context of the whole sentence?
