BBT events manager Emma Gordon looks forward to the big night...

A DAZZLING EVENING BOOK YOUR TABLE TODAY!

AS I WRITE THIS, WE’RE IN THE FINAL FURLONG of what’s been a year in planning – the 2016 Business Travel Awards. I’m very excited about the big night on January 18, and the Buying Business Travel events team are busy putting together the final touches for what is set to be a spectacular evening. Every year, we strive to produce an event that will take people’s breath away, and this year is no exception. The evening will kick off with a surprise guest performer, and our A-list celebrity presenter will entertain and delight the sell-out audience of more than 1,200 people. Hosted at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, the evening gets under way with a champagne reception, followed by a three-course gala dinner, during which the awards take place. The now legendary after-dinner party includes a live band playing floor-filling hits, dancing into the early hours and a charity casino for those who fancy a flutter. All that remains for me is to channel my inner Gwyneth Paltrow, and give my own thank-you speech on behalf of the BBT team... We’d like to say congratulations to all our finalists, who have made the cut from a bumper crop of excellent entries, and to thank all the companies who took part this year. We’d also like to say a very big thanks to our judges, who have given up their valuable time and put in so much hard work, and our sponsors for their support of the awards. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday, January 18.
