Procedure: In main beaker, add water and dissolve EDTA. Heat batch to 70°C. In separate beaker, add EnMulse™ Wax, GalOlive® Bio TEN and AlphaVelvety and heat to 70°C. Transfer phase 2 to main beaker. Mix under moderate to high shear under heat for at least 15 minutes. Remove and let cool. Once batch below 40°C, add Sharomix™ EG-14.

Procedure: Add DI Water to main beaker. Add EDTA to DI Water. Mix until uniform. Once dissolved, add SharoSENSE™ Plus 184. Add GelWhite X-HR and Glycerine. Mix until homogenous. Heat phase to 60°C. Combine EnMulse™ Wax, EnSense™ Luxe TO, and Cupuaçu Buter. Heat mixture to 60°C. Mix until completely homogenous. Add oil phase into water phase. Mix for 20 minutes. Allow formula to gradually cool down. At 35°C, add Eco Scrub Murumuru. Mix under moderate shear.

The Natural Product Association (NPA) has recently re-certified 81 BASF ingredients. “Our research shows a

Upcycled fragrance ingredients
CPL Aromas has unveiled the capability of developing fragrances which include Upcycled Ingredients. This aims to fulfil the desire of a growing number of end customers regarding sustainability. CPL Aromas’ first set to define upcycling in relation to the Fragrance industry: upcycled ingredients are those which are transformed from discarded waste or by-products to become valuable materials in their own right. Following this definition,
products have been verified to fit the organisation’s Natural Standard by an independent third-party auditor. The BASF portfolio for natural
cosmetics ranges from raw materials – such as surfactants and emollients – to additives and
active ingredients. In addition to the NPA Natural Standard, BASF supports customers by providing the necessary data for the COSMOS and NATRUE standards and the ISO 16128 norm as well as offering low-1,4-Dioxane ingredients.

Management changes announced
ProTec Ingredia and ProTec Botanica have announced management changes to their respective businesses. ProTec Ingredia was founded in 2011 and has been headed up by managing director, Alan Eastwood, since its inception. Effective 1 June 2021, Alan Eastwood will relinquish his duties as managing director and will move into a new ProTec Group Chairman role. Alan was also instrumental in setting up ProTec Botanica, where he has served as managing director since 2014. The following changes to the
