Welcome to the January edition of Personal Care Global. Happy New Year! This issue is focused
on skin care and hair care, and includes an interview with the extremely knowledgeable Tanya Rajani, who was recently
promoted to become Mintel’s associate director for beauty and personal care for India. India is getting ever more outside interest in
its beauty industry as industry players try to tap into its increasingly open and more prosperous consumer base. Tanya discusses the current and coming beauty
trends in India and worldwide for 2025 and beyond. Talking of 2025, this year will mark our 25th
anniversary. Time flies, doesn’t it? Our first issue was published in September 2000 and the cover story was by French marine ingredients maker Secma Biotechnologies Marine, which in 2005 changed its name to BiotechMarine
STEP COMMUNICATIONS
before its acquisition by Seppic in 2013. Such is the nature of the personal care industry. To mark our special occasion, we will be publishing a special 25th anniversary edition in August that will take a look back at the industry, as well as a gaze into what the future may hold. This is sure to be a popular issue. Before then, there will be a number of trade
shows to look forward to – and that Personal Care Global will be attending. These include PCHi in Guangzhou, China on 19-21 February; and in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 8-10 April. We will also be exhibiting at CITE Japan in
Tokyo on 14-16 May and the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists Suppliers’ Day on 3-4 June; and in-cosmetics Korea in Seoul on 2-4 July. Also this year, we will launch a new version of
our popular Little Book series - The Little Book of Upcycled Ingredients - in October. Whether a reader, contributor or advertiser,
we wish you a prosperous new year. Enjoy the magazine.
