Mibelle unleashes ‘revolutionary’ active

Mibelle Biochemistry has taken the wraps off PhytoCellTec Exosomes, a skin care active that harnesses the power of plant stem cell-derived exosomes. The Swiss manufacturer says

the ‘revolutionary’ new product not only delivers these exosomes from outside into the skin, but also stimulates the production of exosomes by mesenchymal stem cells within the skin. As we age our skin, the barrier

function of the epidermis weakens, reducing its ability to protect against external aggressors such as UV radiation and pollution, and to retain moisture. At the same time, collagen and

elastin production in the dermis declines, resulting in sagging skin, particularly around the jawline and breasts.

“What makes PhytoCellTec

Exosomes so special is the use of exosomes from plant stem cells that can interact with human cells, offering a range of benefits and significant potential for cosmetic applications,” said a spokeswoman. “PhytoCellTec Exosomes has

a dual exosome-based effect in both the epidermis and dermis. It protects the skin against external stress factors and rejuvenates it by increasing skin density and

elasticity, reducing wrinkles and reshaping the contours of the face and breasts,” she added. Exosomes are vesicles released

by cells to enable communication between cells. PhytoCellTec Exosomes

contains plant-based exosomes that act directly on the epidermis to strengthen the skin barrier. They also increase the release

of exosomes by mesenchymal stem cells in the skin, which boosts collagen production and rejuvenates the skin through exosome-based communication with fibroblasts. In a related development,

Mibelle has launched VividEYE, an active cosmetic ingredient designed to tackle undereye concerns.

Based on organic apple mint

leaves, VividEYE has been shown to strengthen the vascular network by reducing blood vessel leakage and increasing lymphatic vessel formation for improved fluid drainage. In addition, it works effectively

on skin cells to not only reduce melanin production, but also strengthen the skin barrier and prevent skin thinning. In clinical studies, VividEYE

reduced eye bag volume as well as the appearance of dark eye circles. Dark circles are primarily caused

by blood accumulation due to increased vascular permeability, and melanin deposition, which intensifies with age as skin thins and discolorations are more visible.

Silab lifts lid on Liftilience film former

Silab has taken the wraps off Liftilience, a film-forming natural active ingredient derived from fully traceable organic chestnuts. With its optimized tensor

effect and adhesion properties, this sixth generation polyvalent tensor it said to offer multiple, rapid and long-lasting cosmetic benefits for the face and body. As a beauty enhancer, it

acts as of the first minutes of application on the face: the skin is significantly smoother and the complexion more luminous and fresher, thus favouring a healthy-glow effect visible throughout the day. These benefits are perceived

by the volunteers themselves, who reported that their skin was

the body up to four hours after application. In addition, included in

foundation or primer formulas, Liftilience acts as a makeup perfector. Silab says it significantly

increases the holding power of foundation and eyeshadow up to six hours after application, thereby limiting the need for an additional application. Liftilience is available in

smoother, more attractive and more radiant at the end of the day. A sensation of softness close to that of velvet is also perceived on

preservative-free powder and is recommended in all tensor care products at a dose of 0.16 to 0.64%. It complies with biodiversity

regulations and has a natural origin content of 100% (ISO 16128).

Sasol launches palm oil

alternative Sasol Chemicals has unveiled NACOL 18-98, a palm-free, biobased stearyl alcohol solution for the personal care industry. Exclusively based on

segregated rapeseed oil, NACOL 18-98 is a renewable resource grown locally in Europe, ensuring a significantly lower product carbon footprint compared to palm-based alternatives. Sasol says the new formulation

addresses growing concerns about deforestation and the environmental impact of palm- derived products while providing the same high-quality performance as traditional stearyl alcohols. “This new formulation is a

drop-in replacement and can seamlessly integrate into existing formulations, ensuring the same performance,” it added. NACOL 18-98 is complaint with

the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which requires companies importing palm oil and derivatives into the EU to prove, through detailed traceability, that their products are not sourced from deforested land.

Evolved By Nature unwraps

peptide US life sciences company Evolved By Nature has launched Activated Silk 8A, a tone-boosting bioactive peptide designed to brighten skin and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Activated Silk 8A-a supports

natural late stage cell differentiation and is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and improve the appearance of skin brightness. By supporting the skin’s natural

cell turnover process, old skin cells are shed through the cornified layer, making way for new, healthy cells. This continuous renewal helps

maintain a smooth, resilient skin surface, minimizes the buildup of dead cells, and promotes an even skin tone. Additionally, healthy cell turnover

can support the skin’s barrier function, protect against environmental stressors, and contribute to overall skin vitality and radiance.
