Gattefossé scientists have created a complete range of sensorial emulsifiers and texturizing agents allowing the formulation of transformative and delightful cosmetics.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Gattefossé has always combined science and consciousness to innovate in personal care ingredients. A science of excellence that respects the living world in all its forms. We take particular care to control our operations to limit any impact on the ecosystems surrounding us. These commitments have been grouped together in our Gatt’Up&Act roadmap that is structured around 3 main pillars directly linked to our activities and the Group’s strategy: “Preserving our environment”, “Caring for our people”, and “Acting as a world citizen”. An eco-responsible approach that we apply as closely as possible to our ingredients, from harvesting to the factory gate.
ECO-RESPONSIBLE INGREDIENTS Regarding our personal care ingredients, one of our priority stakes is to reinforce the eco-responsibility of our ingredients. Which means to have a complete and precise vision of their ethical, social and environmental impacts. That’s why, for several years now, our R&D team has relied on the ERI360°, an innovative standard, that evaluates ingredient’s responsibility from cradle to gate. This strict label, co-created by French cosmetics industry players including Gattefossé,
and a panel of scientific experts, allows us to: ■ Assess the degree of responsibility of the entire product value chain; ■ Improve the environmental performance of our ingredients, from harvesting to the factory gate; through 100 indicators and a certification obtained via an external audit
Five of our personal care ingredients have already received this accreditation, including Gatuline® Renew and EleVastin™ which are featured in the following formulas.
All the formulas presented here are over 99% of natural origin according to the ISO 16128 standard.
