Most of your time has been spent with Konami Gaming. What’s been special about this relationship with the business?


I have had the opportunity to serve Konami Gaming for nearly 25 years. Longtime values at the core of Konami Group ring true from my experience. Te company is customer-oriented, rooted in R&D strength, and committed to compliance and responsibility.


To what do you account your success in your roles within Konami?


Our long-term customer relationships. From the earliest days of the company, our casino customers played a crucial role in allowing Konami Gaming’s first developments to arrive to players. And still today, every new piece of entertainment or technology we develop is in partnership with customers to deliver to the casino floor. Te relationships we build between our internal team members and casino operator customers are central to success.


Finally Steve, is the industry in a better position now than when you started out? Is the industry currently heading in the right direction?


Te gaming industry is larger and more diverse than any time prior. Te most critical components for ensuring sustainable growth include technology investment, ongoing compliance, curbing illegal gambling activity, and responsible regulated expansion.


Jens Halle had a very strong personal connection to the gaming industry. Do you identify with his view of the industry?


Jens Halle recognised the importance of personal relationships in this industry. I have a great amount of gratitude to have shared a strong bond with Jens. He connected with people at a level above and beyond a business relationship. It is a level of connection that is impactful in all regards for the industry we serve.
