Firstly, could you tell us more about GeoLocs geolocation technology?
GeoLocs is an advanced geolocation compliance platform designed specifically for the iGaming, Sports Betting and Lottery industries. Our technology was built and has continued to evolve for over 12 years first live in 2011 to support a RMG App going into the Apple App Store. Since then, our geolocation technology has evolved and is widely used by leading operators across the globe, including being the first geolocation provider to go live in the regulated Ontario market with the largest operator in the region.
Our technology leverages various data points within a device to ensure precise and reliable geolocation data and pinpoint a user's location in real-time, while remaining compliant with regulatory requirements. Te advanced GeoLocs geolocation technology is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) in Ontario, one of the toughest regulators in North America, as well as Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) in British Columbia. GeoLocs has also, more recently, been evaluated and attested by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).
How have the technologies that fraudsters are employing changed in recent years? What new threats have emerged?

notable development is the use of API replay attacks. Fraudsters can unbolt websites, extract APIs, and replay these calls to exploit vulnerabilities. For instance, they might place bets at old prices by replaying outdated API requests, taking advantage of the lack of server- side validation. Another major shift is the use of sophisticated AI technologies, including deepfakes. Tese tools allow fraudsters to create highly convincing counterfeit identities and documents, which can be used to deceive both automated systems and human reviewers. While these advancements can make fraud detection more difficult, they also push the boundaries of innovation, leading to the development of more sophisticated and resilient technologies used by providers. Tis evolution highlights the importance of staying ahead with security measures and working with advanced geolocation providers like GeoLocs.
Whilst the volume of fraud cases remains high in developing countries, the situation is worsening in developed markets. Why is this – are fraudsters now less fearful of stricter jurisdictions or more secure document types? Are AI advancements having an impact on the number of deepfakes?
In developed markets, the rise in fraud can be attributed to several factors, but it's not all negative. While fraudsters use advanced techniques and AI-driven deepfakes to create more convincing fake identities and documents, this also leads to significant advancements in fraud prevention technology.
