Te company is a licensed operator in over 20 states of the Federation, with over 2,000 shops nationwide. Bet9ja has an estimated 60 per cent share of the local market.


Bet9ja is the registered trading name of KC Gaming Networks Limited. KC Gaming Networks Limited holds a Lagos State Lotteries Board license, a Sportsbook and Gaming license issued by the State of Osun, and holds licenses to operate in all States where sports betting is permitted in Nigeria. It offers sports betting via retail outlets and online sports betting. Other leading operators include LionsBet which is licensed


in Nigeria by the Lagos State Lotteries Board. It was founded in 2016 with the establishment of a Lagos-based head office, and Nigerian based Hamabet which was launched in 2017.


LOTTERY Tere are around 30 lotto operators. One of the leading lotto op- erators is Premier Lotto Limited (PLL) also known as Baba Ijebu which was incorporated in 2001. Premier Lotto currently has one of the biggest lotto practices in Nigeria operating with over 200 principal agents supervising over 16,000 sub agents/sales representatives spread across the western region of Nigeria. In 2020, the Federal Government established a National


Lottery. Te National Lottery was created as a tool for social in- tervention and supporting charitable causes and to facilitate development in different sectors such as education, sports, health as well as others. In 2021, the NLRC awarded Elrae Technologies Limited the


concession to operate the official Lottery of Nigeria. It was launched in Abuja in July 2022. It offers players a number of games including the Naija Mega Jackpot, 6/49 lotto and instant games. Lottery games are available via online and via SMS spe- cifically via USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) - a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) protocol that is used to send text messages. Te lottery is planning on rolling out on other platforms shortly.
