INSIGHT GAMING INNOVATION INTERBLOCK


DISRUPTION IS KEY


Interblock in 2023 is going to release more innovation across all our product categories than in the past 10 years combined. I am looking forward to revealing the next evolution of our portfolio that will commence in Q2 of this year and continue through to G2E Las Vegas.


It’s an innovation, which gestated during the pandemic, creating an opportunity for Interblock to incorporate technology into some of the most complex products we’ve ever created. Te Pandemic in many ways gave us the ability to build a war-chest of innovative and leapfrogging technology that we’re bringing to market in 2023.


All of us at Interblock are very excited when you think about our company today, you can find a diversified product mix addressing dozens of demographics, while distributing them in a variety of methods tailored for each specific play type. For example, a category we launched a month before the ICE London show, having met with all the biggest gaming operators in the world, is something completely revolutionary. Te feedback from operators is that if we get this right, it will change the global gaming industry forever. I believe this year Interblock has never been in a better position to support the casino sector in remaining relevant as various new forms of gaming enter the global arena. I’m not saying that lightly - I’ve been in gaming for 32 years, and I’m a very, very sceptical person.


Interblock has built a company that encompasses three product categories and is soon to launch a fourth:


1. Standalone mechanical RNG products, which is the foundation Electronic Table Games was founded upon. Interblock created the first ever ETG over 25-years ago and has since used this experience to now offer dozens of features and functionality related to our standalone product offering.


2. Stadium technology - 200 stadiums installed globally in some of the biggest casinos in the world with tens of millions interacting with that product, presenting tremendous opportunity to leverage that infrastructure.


3. Te Universal Cabinet - a single player, fast play, slots-style cabinet covering eight different product segments, capable of competing the high yielding math associated with the traditional slot machine.


Standalone, Stadium and Universal product categories have driven the tremendous growth we have seen in the Electronic Table Game segment of the casino industry from 2015 to 2022, during which time the company has increased nearly eight-fold. We have innovated

during this period by understanding that ETGs are as complex in nature as slots. If you look at slot diversity, there are steppers, video reels, poker and keno, high and low-denom, multi- line, high and low volatility, progressives etc., dozens and dozens of different slot segments needed to cater to a complex spectrum of player demographics. At Interblock, we have grown to understand and appreciate that ETGs need the same level of product diversification and distribution methods, to appeal to this audience.


THE FOURTH ELEMENT


Interblock is to launch a fourth product category in 2023. When we emerged from Covid-19, we saw that although millions of people transitioned to ETGs, there were still a significant portion of the market, which kept playing traditional table games. So we asked ourselves the question, why hasn’t someone provided casinos and dealers with technology capable of enhancing the performance of dealers in the past couple of decades? Te advancement of technology has evolved tremendously but for various reasons has yet to reach the Live Dealer Table Game Pit you see around the world. Te industry has done very little to either progress live tables or help dealers keep up with technology.


To address this, we have created a new ‘live ETG


pit’ category at Interblock, which provides a “Technology Umbrella”, which we place over live table games. I want to be clear that we’re not replacing live dealers, instead we are providing them with technology to deliver more decisions/hands per hour; offer considerably more side bets to increase house advantage; and reduce mistakes and remove collusion from the live game; all in the exact same square footage of a casino floor you would find today. We are launching this technology into some of the largest casino in the world in Q2, with the view that this will substantially increase the profitability of casinos to such a level that this product will become the new industry standard.


Encompassing all live games from craps, to baccarat, black jack and roulette, we are demonstrating that it’s not mathematically possible for another pit to compete with this product. We have tested individual games to assess player engagement and we’ve seen the highest levels of utilisation on casino floors.


If you take a high performing slot game on the Vegas Strip, utilisation falls around the low to mid-20s, which is essentially showing the number of hours a unit is played throughout the entire week. Our new technology added to live craps has already become the highest utilised product across three casinos on the Las Vegas Strip with a utilization of over 50 per cent. We are also seeing roulette product utilisation considerably above house average, as well.


NOT STOPPING THERE


In the latter half of the year, Interblock is seeking to address another opportunity, one that it has yet to enter despite a frenzy interest. We will finally be moving into the online sector, a direction that was put on hold last year during the acquisition of our business by Oaktree Capital Group. Now we are moving forward and putting in-place the necessary infrastructure.


We see slot suppliers realising their land-based portfolio of games online, however; the ability to innovate with slot content in an on-line format is challenging to say the least. We see the on-line space as a new demographic to introduce the innovation Interblock has been known to provide. We know it’s a challenge, but we have the ideas, we’ve been testing the product, and we’ll be releasing a new concept in multiple jurisdictions by summer. Our aim is that by the end of the year we will be in a meaningful place in the online space, with contracts signed with the leading online companies. I believe that we can carve a niche for ourselves, building upon strong player recognition, innovation and the table games’ know-how Interblock is known for - creating something unique for operators in this space. Our vision is to make Interblock synonymous with table games, no matter what form you can compare to.
